The next rail journey takes you to Sedalia, 30 miles south of the Missouri River, where you’ll spend the night at Best Western State Fair Inn. Take time to wander through the Downtown Sedalia Historic District, explore the artworks at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, and dip into the town’s railroad heritage at the Katy Depot. Step back to the early 20th century at Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site and view the Missouri State Fairgrounds Historic District’s turn-of-the-century architecture and eye-catching bronze sculptures. Enjoy a bike ride on the historic Katy Trail that runs through Sedalia.

Your final rail trip takes you back to St Louis, where you’ll enjoy two nights at the Moonrise Hotel. Sports fans get to watch the St Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium or cheer on the St Louis Blues at the Enterprise Center. Splash through whitewater rapids and cool off at Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags St Louis.
