About this tour

Uncover northern India’s greatest cities on this perfect introduction to one of the world’s most fascinating and alluring destinations. Explore the teeming, colourful, spectacular cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur that make up the world-famous, fascinating Golden Triangle. See sights like the Red Fort, the awe-inspiring Taj Mahal and the Palace of the Winds. Spend two nights on safari in Ranthambhore, a one-time hunting ground of Indian princes, and complete your holiday with a stay in a luxury jungle resort.

Tour Itinerary

Days 1-2: UK - Delhi

Fly overnight to India. On arrival in Delhi, meet your Tour Manager, and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, join a guided tour to the sixteenth century red sandstone and marble Humuyan’s tomb.
Day 3: Delhi - Agra

Embark on a city tour of Delhi including stops at the Historic Red Fort, Jama Masjid Mosque and Raj Ghat. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the lanes of Chandni Chowk. Then, travel to Agra and the site of the Taj Mahal. After a visit to Agra Fort, you’ll make your first visit to the Taj, to see it in all its glory at sunset.
Day 4: Agra - Ranthambhore

Start your day with the unforgettable view of the Taj Mahal at dawn. Journey to Abhaneri and discover the intricate beauty of Chand Baori. Leaving Abhaneri, you’ll travel to Ranthambhore National Park, stopping en route for lunch at Umaid Lake Palace. Enjoy an evening tiger talk with a local naturalist.
Day 5: Ranthambhore

Today’s two open-air vehicle safaris in Ranthambhore Park are sure to be among the highlights of your entire holiday. Enjoy and make sure you direct any questions to your knowledgeable naturalist guide.
Day 6: Ranthambore - Jaipur

Journey to the Pink City of Jaipur, where you’ll stay for the next two nights.
Day 7: Amber Fort

Visit Amber and climb by jeep to the city’s vast sixth-century hill-top fort. Afterwards, tour Jaipur to see the City Palace complex. Drive past the innumerable windows and screened balconies of the 18th-century Palace of the Winds.
Day 8: Jaipur - Vanaashrya

Journey to the jungle-resort of Vanaashrya. Visit a local village and enjoy a pre-dinner cookery demonstration. Spend the night in a private cottage designed to give you a sense of the India of the past.
Day 8: Kotu Kinabula

Journey deep into the UNESCO-listed Kinabalu National Park. Enjoy a scenic hike through moderate elevation, before pausing at the park’s headquarters, with its beautiful Mountain Garden Collection, then continue to the Shangri La Rasa Ria Resort.
Day 9: Vanaashrya

Enjoy today at leisure in Vanaashrya.
Days 10-11: Vanaashrya - UK

Fly home overnight back to the UK.
